Batman the Knight (2022 DC) #6A

Chip Zdarsky brings us another chapter of the young Dark Knight. Oblonsky has sent Bruce and Anton towards Canada where they ask marksman Luka Jungo to train them. The use of white space to divide the panels was smartly used by artist Carmine Di Giandomenico & colorist Ivan Plascencia. Great lettering by Pat Brosseau. Early in the comic you realize there is a slight hint of highlighted panels to remark important parts of the story.

One of the best scenes, artistically speaking might be when Luka reveals his past to Bruce and Anton. The slow darkening of the scene towards an even darker reveal of Luka’s past perfectly sumerges us towards the reason he stopped killing people. The transition between white background / black highlighted panels to full black background / white highlighted panels was done organically. Technically perfect.

With Bruce alone and the series coming to an end. What will The Knight face next?
