And now, we are totally lost. In a good way. Kelly and Lanzing are bringing us a story that raises more questions than answers. This whole new era for Steve Rogers shows us a relentless Captain American who cannot, and should not, stand down when “retired”. Even without high tech Stark devices and a whole Superhero team behind him, Steve keeps surrounding himself with people willing to take a step forward to stop evil. We are not sure where the story is heading with this new powerful behind-the-shadows-group that seem to have an overwhelming and maybe even intergalactic power. In the meantime, Bucky seems to have figured out what is happening when he confronts Peggy Carter.
The use of panels are again, perfectly used according to the mood of the scene. The art itself (along with colors) is beautiful through the comic as it achieves to portray both movement, chaos and action when needed; as well as intrigue or even social moments. The colors themselves direct you to a new scene while the panels change in a smooth contrast.
With only 2 issues in, Sentinel of Liberty seems to be a comic all Cap fans should read.
