Onyebuchi brings us a classic Captain America tale filled with corruption, decievement, entrapment and plenty of action in a master plan created by a super villain. The story doesn’t disappoint. The storytelling takes a twist when an irreverent character, Deadpool, joins the Cap. Soon enough, the action-packed adventure breaking out of Latveria while looking for “Triple S” contrasts the parallel story with The Falcon investigating a human trafficking ring and unofficial experiments.
Art enhances the experience. The use of panels breaks as the story gains action momentum on each parallel storyline. Scenes are perfectly defined if not by panels, with colors. Must mention the art shines on those action pages. Movement is captured as if it was a still picture.
With everything happening at the heart of Latveria, sooner or later an annoyed Dr. Doom demands answers. With Dr. Doom and Deadpool in the mix, Marvel looks to consolidate Sam Wilson. Promising us an amazing series on the horizon.
