What could possibly go wrong when you send Harley to the moon? Stephanie Phillips takes us through a new post-crisis era where Luke Fox has decided to build a team to try and recover vital information left by the JLA. As usual with Harley’s books, the narrative is done in first person. Brief tunes of insanity and intended puns surround the dialogue, actions and even thoughts of our main character. It is interesting how we are confronted with a very recent antagonist and the outcome of the interaction between them and Harley.
Artistically, we have switched to a more classical drawing style with a very playful use of panels. Transition between scenes seems to be more subtle as if the tale had been narrated in a huge paragraph. There is a lot of attention to Harley’s facial expressions and reactions. Great use of color through the comic.
Cover A by Jonboy Meyers depicts a futuristic space-Harley with a lot of attention to detail. A very modern and clean comic-book style drawing that feels one or two steps away to become hyper realistic. An amazing cover.
